Marc S. Werner, MD
Dr. Marc S. Werner is proud to specialize in LASIK, Oculoplastics, BOTOX & Neuro-Ophthalmology.
Dr. Werner received his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and followed this with Fellowships at The University of Minnesota and Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital. He is a board-certified eye doctor and is on staff at Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, Winthrop Hospital and North Shore University Hospital in New York.
Thierry Hufnagel, MD

Dr. Hufnagel is a cornea-trained, board-certified ophthalmologist. He is a graduate of UCLA, Yale, and Johns Hopkins Universities. Dr. Hufnagel has been recognized as a VISX STAR, an award granted only to the leading excimer laser surgeons in the United States. Dr. Hufnagel has participated in an FDA-sponsored investigation for LASIK surgery. His pioneering involvement with excimer lasers dates back to 1987 with published studies on the pathological aspects of laser surgery applied to the cornea. To date, he has performed several thousand laser vision correction procedures and tailors all surgeries to each patient’s individual needs. He is an instructor in IntraLASE™ bladeless LASIK surgical technique and actively teaches LASIK to other surgeons.
Benjamin Chang, MD

Dr. Chang received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and his MD from UCLA. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, where he also served as Chief Resident. This was followed by a 2-year fellowship at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital. Dr. Chang has authored numerous articles and book chapters in ophthalmology and is co-editor of the widely referenced Wills Eye Manual. He is a board certified eye doctor by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Emily Zimmerman, MD
Dr. Zimmerman received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her medical degree from the University of Maryland. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland and followed this with her fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, & Throat Hospital. Dr. Zimmerman has 17 years of practice in ophthalmology. Dr. Zimmerman’s subspecialties are Glaucoma surgeries, Cataracts, Trabs, and Cat/Trabs. Her hobbies include running, reading, and photography.
Jennifer Yong, MD
Dr. Yong is an accomplished refractive and cataract surgeon who specializes in advanced techniques in laser vision correction, femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens surgery, corneal collagen cross-linking for keratoconus, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and anterior segment reconstruction. Dr. Yong’s clinical interests also include dry eye syndrome and ocular surface reconstruction for mechanical dry eye.
Silgi Varghese, OD
Dr. Varghese graduated from University of Albany with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2004. Dr. Varghese proceeded to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree at the State University of New York College of Optometry in 2008. She completed her internship at SUNY Optometry, Keller Army Hospital, and Hudson Valley Veterans Affairs. Dr. Varghese completed her residency training at the Hudson Valley Veterans Affairs specializing in ocular disease and primary care.
Dr. Varghese has been practicing full-scope optometry for 9 years in Westchester and NYC.
Christopher Lutz, OD
Dr. Lutz received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in 1995. He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1999. He was practicing at Bayshore Ophthalmology in New Jersey till 2009 when he and his family moved to Long Island. His wife is a genetics Professor at SUNY Farmingdale and he has 3 teenage children.
