Our very own Dr. Hufnagel was selected for New York’s “Best Doctors in New York” list for 2014. Begun twenty three years ago, this prestigious list is one of the magazine’s most popular features. Dr. Hufnagel is a cornea-trained board-certified ophthalmologist. A graduate of UCLA, Yale, and Johns Hopkins Universities, he has been recognized previously as a VISX STAR, another prestigious award granted only to the top excimer laser surgeons in the United States. His pioneering evolvement with excimer lasers dates back to 1987 with published studies on the pathological aspects of laser surgery on the cornea. He has participated in an FDA-sponsored investigation for laser surgery, and is a current instructor at IntraLASE bladeless LASIK surgical techniques and teachest LASIK to other surgeons.
